Okay, it doesn't happen
that often, but it happens often enough for me to notice.
Sometimes, when I'm working at the register or whatever, and adults bring up little kids in strollers--like little 8 - 14 month olds who are fascinated by
everything but haven't really achieved the ability to verbalize their "what's that?"-ness. And, well, more that a few times, the little kids in the strollers start to cry for their pretzel or just attention in general, and then I come back from making the pretzels and the little kids just stop, mid-bawl, staring up at me with this curious expression. like, "what... is that...?"
hahah, it probably happens to everyone, but there was this suuuuuuuuuuuper cuuuuuuuute little girl today--every time her dad pushed her past our store, she would just STARE at me until she was unable to turn her neck anymore. it was super, super, suuuuuuuuuuperrrrr cuuuuuute!!!
On a side note, it's weird to watch dads take their little kids into lingerie stores. just sayin'.

Lindsey came by the store today!! I was just twisting pretzels, and then i heard an, "hola!" and i was like, "what the f... ohhh!!! it's lindsey!!"
and then we made awkward conversation for about 5 minutes before she and Abby went off to Cinema Cafe. but it was fun-awkward (if that's possible)--like we kept joking about how so-and-so's dropped off the face of the earth because we hadn't heard from that person in agesssssssss. and stuff.
also, uhhh, new development. Lilly respects my little Japanese boy band obsession now. uhhh, and she's sat in my room for 3... 4 hours with me, watching their TV shows with me. and... there's this one guy in the group who's ridiculously sarcastic and, well, kinda snarky. anyway, i told lilly that that one guy totally reminded me of her, and she was like, "oh, okay, he can be my brother" (because nino's also a gamer)," and the hot one" (sho) "can be my boyfriend. or husband. which ever one comes first."
(That's suppose to be funny. but, once again, my storytelling-ness fails.)
anyway, she's kinda into them now--their personalities and tv shows, anyway (not so much the music. tragic, i know). Like, last night, when i was watching Himitsu no Arashi-chan, she burst into my room, her chair in tow, and dragged the chair next to my office chair, plopped down without saying a word, and dragged my laptop closer to her. and we just watched videos until 2AM.

Hahah, i just asked jim if any mail came for me and he was like, "that thing... from W&M." and lilly was in her room with her friend and they were hanging out, and her friend, apparently, said something while i was walking downstairs to see what came, and lilly said, loudly, "yeah, i know, she doesn't."
so, of course, they were talking about me, so i was like, "I don't what?"
Lilly: Don't worry about it.
Me: (whiny) Whaaaaaaaaat??
Lilly: (in one breath) seem like you go to W&M.
Me: (pause)
Lilly: (pause)
Me: (laughs)
Lilly: (scoffs then laughs) and she starts laughing. <--assumed to be directed at the friend.
but, yeah, no, i think that's... probably the 6th or 7th of lilly's friends who have said something along those lines. Which more or less rivals the number of people who yell, "LILLY HAS A SISTER???" in absolute disbelief when they find out that said sister exists.
although, it's pretty funny when the, "SINCE WHEN??" bit comes up and lilly rolls her eyes and says, in that demeaning voice of hers, "Since i was
born."
siiiigh, June sucked.
