Okay, i won't lie.
i was less than pleased about the 20th.
i mean, siriusly--what do you do when you're 20? can't drink. can't play slots. and can no longer blame that first digit, "1" , for all the silly things you do.
basically, i was trapped, without a scape goat, or any alcohol to make me forget that i did dumb things.
(although, to be fair, i do have caffeine to take care of that...)
but, of course, when one dreads something more, that same thing approaches at a disgustingly fast pace.
but, somehow, the past 36 hours have been...
kinda awesome.
You Are Very Joyful
|

You may not be happy all of the time, but you experience frequent moments of joy in your life. There are moments so perfect that time has stood still and you wish you could freeze it forever.
You are so joyful because you appreciate the small things in life. You know joy is more about who you are than what you have. You are thankful to be alive, and you know that things could be a lot worse. You are content with your life.

(1) Christine made dinner for me. i almost went into hibernation, i ate so much. and then we watched
Fox and the Hound--which seemed incredibly appropriate as a "final day as a teen" film... Did philosophy until 3AM, slept.
(2) rolled outta bed at 10:30. went to Retro's, stared out at the street like a creep with Kristen as we waited for Alanna, and then the couple. Had a quick conference call with Katie, asking for tips as to how to intimidate the Geoff. Saw Nicole and her beau walk up, got stupidly excited, and started to squeal before they found us.
--> note: I am now an avid Nicole-Geoff shipper.
(3) had lunch, talked about the beginnings of Nico-ffrey, talked about silly happenings in high school, walked around campus, stopped by Kristen's dorm, saw Alanna's dorm, went back to my place, Kristen and Nicoffrey went back to the CW.
(4) went to Richmond with Kathryn and Korean-Polish Nicole. Played "Marriage, Sex, and Death", got lost (and texted christine for help--not before stating, for the 47th time, that we need to buy Kathryn a GPS. and then suggested taking bets as to how many times Kathryn can get lost in a single driving trip), called christine for help, got directions, and arrived at Short Pump Mall about 45 minutes later than intended.
(5) went to Build-a-Bear and made the most fabu-tastic stuffed doggy known to mankind.
-->name: Momo.
-->Outfit: the top portion of a suit--my boy looks smart!
-->Theme Song: "Wrong Number" by DBSK.
(6) got a cami that actually matched my sweater (unlike the off-blue one that i had been wearing the whole day), and started a search for a red scarf. couldn't find one after 6 stores. called it day. time for dinner.
(7) spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out what to have for dinner. was originally suppose to be a Thai restaurant. Failed--Kathryn said i didn't seem interested in the idea. ended up going to Petersburg.
(8) stopped by Michael's right outside of Petersburg. Korean-Polish Nicole bought some much-needed paints, yarn, and crochet needles. i decided to get some yarn and make my own scarf after Korean-Polish Nicole offered to teach me how to crochet.
(9) had the most FABULOUS ITALIAN FOOD KNOWN TO MANKIND!!!!
(10) went to kathryn's house in petersburg. was worried about the state of sketchiness of the area. worries were shadowed by the state of awesome of the house--even though nobody's lived in it for over a month, it's still pretty cool looking.
(11) spent about 15 minutes trying to open the hot water bottle that hasn't been uncorked in over a year. found a cicada in the super cute bathroom.
(12) drove back to williamsburg at 9:46. listened to almost 15 year old Billy confess his undying love to Priscilla, whom he hopes he will be able to spend the rest of his life with, and then Kathryn spazzed and almost drove off the road.
(13) arrived back. almost froze while walking up to the dorm. so cold. yay for hot showers~!
(14) spent about 15 - 20 minutes replying to birthday wishes--you people are awesome!
(15) the day ended with a cheesy grin with a super cute stuffed puppy tucked under arm--not to mention, chatting with the MOST AWESOME ROOMMATE KNOWN TO MANKIND~!
Now, i must start/continue my philosophy studying. heres we goes...
You Walk Through Life
|

Your journey through life is steady, conventional, and calm. You're likely to stop and smell the roses every chance you get. Your life is simple but bountiful.
You believe that it's important to have good morals. You always do your duty, and work comes before play. You value stability at home and at work. You do your part to smooth things over the best you can.

Yea!!!!!!!! I'm glad you had a wonderful day! I'm terrified about no longer being a teenager, but honestly, age is just something humans have imposed upon ourselves. Numbers aren't real, aren't something inherently attached to us...we just consider it to be. Not sure if that made any sense. Maybe I ought to take philsophy so I can..philsophize (I had lots of trouble spelling that word...I almost always say falafelize on accident).
Ok. This is terribly incoherent as usual. ahaha.
sorry, i'm silly--i forgot that comments could be left on xanga!
no, not terribly incoherent, not at all!! Perfectly fine--with many hints of elaine-isms!
Well, if you take philosophy, i wish you the best of luck!! it's interesting stuff, but the material should come with a warning label--"side effects may include: lots and lots of headaches"...
