i went with my mom to this newly opened Chinese take-out place today, and... yepp, i think it's pretty much the most adorable eat-in/take-out Chinese place i've ever set foot in.
the couple who owns the place has two little kids--the boy's 7, almost 8, and the girl's just a little over 5--and i just hovered creepily over the little girl for the majority of the visit. she was sooooo adorable, but kinda sleepy and grumpy 'coz she just woke up from a mid-evening nap. i somehow got roped into helping her put together her puzzle--and it wasn't one of those wimpy, 50 pieces, Hello Kitty puzzles. It was one of those legit, 1000 pieces puzzles. as in, we're harkening back to that one night in senior year, when i spent about 3 hours working on that one Charlie Brown/Peanuts/Snoopy puzzles before Katie & co. finally dragged me outta the house and to Lindsey's to Lindsey's Valentine's Day party.
and did i mention the kid was 5? and the puzzle was about halfway done, at the very least?
and only she and her older brother had been working on it. for, from what i could figure outta the mumbles, a week or so?
Anyway, it in the end, despite the cute-adorably-awww~!-ness of "yuuki" (i think that was her name--she kinda mumbled a lot), i was actually kinda depressed when we had to leave. i mean, i thought my life was miserable, being tied to my parents' store, but this kid and her brother basically live in their restaurant-dealy-thing. there were toys in this one corner and a scooter and two bikes...
okay, the mom really wants to watch this T-drama (Romantic Princess--it's stupid and ridiculously cheesy... but we can't stop watching!) so, i will sign off now.
